Jumping Dare Devil

Ok so she isn't a dare devil, I don't think stepping off of a 4 inch stool would be considered dangerous! She did however show her impeccable landing skills! Also that "ready, set, go" is a lot more fun when there is a slight delay after the word GO. Oh yes and the soggy wet diaper seen from under her shorts is the new fashion statement so ladies head to the store for the depends!

Our Little Chef

Taelee really wanted to help make dinner on Sunday. She thought she was pretty special being just like mommy with an apron and a spoon. Minus the spills of raw meat on the floor it went pretty well. I think she enjoyed eating the spaghetti even more because she knew she helped.

Favorite Things

I thought I would share some of Taelee's new favorite things. She has become quite independent and some days I think I am dealing with a 3 year old, but she is a sweetheart!

She is obsessed with shoes! We catch her all the time trying on our shoes. I remember a video of myself when I was little doing the exact same thing. Maybe it runs in the family.
(this video was taken while we were staying at Stephen's sisters)

She has found that she can climb right up on our bed with the ottomans. When our bedroom door is open we know where to find her...a little monkey jumping on our bed! She loves to lay on our pillows. I have caught her with her books up there, and daddy's Tetris game. The video is of her putting earring on her ears while lying on the pillows

She has started asking to take pictures, and we made the mistake of giving her our camera. Now every time I try to to take a picture of her she wants to hold it, "me do it". It's a possibility that most pictures of Taelee will be of her lower extremities or her hands...what have we started?!

Maybe I should just have Taelee take pictures of our house...she is pretty good! She's got a good angle don't you think?!

Taelee has also added a few more stuffed animals to her mix. She now has Sammie, Sadie, Daisy, and GiGi that she must sleep with, and an occasional rubber ducky. The other day I found her reading to her friends that she had lined up. It was so cute I grabbed my camera, but when I started recording she freaked out and wanted to hold it so I didn't get it on video. I wish I had a hidden camera on me all the time so I could capture all the cute things she does!

Lets Play Catchup

It's not like me to miss so many weeks, but it has been a very busy move. We left for Texas on July 18th after my friend's sealing. (Congratulations Ashlee!)

We made it to Texas on July 19th. It was a very quick drive, quick meaning 19 hours, but it went by really fast. We left at 4 pm on Saturday and arrived in Texas at 12 pm Sunday. Taelee did really well on the drive. She only slept about 3 hours, but we only had one major meltdown!

We stopped by our new house once we got to Texas. Taelee loved it the minute she walked in the door. She ran around opening all the cupboards and rolling on the carpet.

We didn't close on our house until July 30th so we were homeless for a little over a week. It worked out really well though because Steve's sister was out of town so we were able to stay at her house while we waited. It was really nice having Stephen home for a week before he started all of his meetings.
We went swimming a couple times with Taelee's cousins, she is becoming quite the water girl.

Taelee had her first hair cut. She did really well, she just sat there. It wasn't a major cut, but her bangs were fixed.

We closed on our house July 30th. It went extremely well, and took a lot less time than I thought. I feel so blessed to have this home; I am so thankful for everyone that has helped us get here! We couldn't have done any of this without help!
My parents arrived with the truck late on the 31st , which gave us time to paint our bedroom and bathroom and Taelee's bedroom and bathroom. Hats come off to my Dad for packing the truck, there wasn't an ounce of unused space.

Taelee loved "driving" the truck!

We had a lot of help getting the truck unloaded, which was a good thing because we had a nice Texas rain while we were unloading. Nothing like the smell of wet boxes in your new house! All in all the move went great! We have unloaded most of our boxes, but have a little more to go. Pictures will come soon!

We had a few projects, but we didn't have to do a lot since it was a new construction. We put hardware on our cabinets, and we put in a garage door opener.
Taelee was quite the little helper. If only we could all work like this!

Taelee has been having lots of fun in her new house. She has been a little more grumpy, but hopefully that will pass once we have settled a little more! She has really enjoyed seeing her toys again, but I think she is having the best time with all the space to run.

She is very into head stands and has almost mastered the somersault.

This is where she leans, quite the pose!

She has also been having a lot of fun coloring, and she is getting very good!

We love our house and hope to have many visitors! Thanks again to eveyone who helped!
