...or should I say Cinderella, Tiana, Snow White, Jasmin, Belle, Pochahontas, Mulan, Ariel, or Aurora?! This little girl has quite the imagination, and absolutely LOVES princesses! Every day she is a new princess, depending on the color of dress or shirt she is wearing. Then, whatever princess she is that day everything else she uses (cups, plates...ect.) has to be the same color as that princess. She used to get really upset when we would call her Taelee. She would say, "No I'm not Taelee, I'm (whatever princess she was that day)." We wanted to encourage her to play pretend, but wanted her to be happy with being Taelee too. We finally got her to accept that she is Taelee pretending to be a princess. My very favorite thing that she does is "princess twals"! She will do them and then with the sweetest expression on her face say "Oh, look at me Mom! I'm turning into Ariel!" all while doing "princess twals" on her little tippy toes!
I absolutely adore this little girl! She is the light and joy of my life! I am so grateful for her sweet personality! I look forward to her sweet silly phrases every day! I wrote down a couple that I don't want to forget! I love the way she talks. She changes her tone on the last word of her questions, and makes it go higher. It makes me smile every time! She uses such polite sweet words (most of the time, I don't want to give the impression that she is an angel every second, because that would just not be true!), but for the most part she uses the best phrases...
"Thank you Mommy for getting me a blue plate like Cinderella!"
"I love being at Walmart with you Mommy!"
"I would looove to play a game!"
"Can I have some gum please?! Because I've been sooo...good?!...ok sure!"
I said lets go get dressed. She responded, "Oh, that would be beautiful!"
I tried on a dress that my sister sent to me, she looked at me and said, "Oh! That looks pretty mom!"
The other day I was in a hurry trying to get her to eat dinner before I had to feed Kingston. I totally forgot to say a prayer in all the chaos and rush. I tired to give her a carrot, and she stopped me, "No Mom, not before the prayer!" Boy did I feel sheepish!
She came to me the other day, "Mom, will you open my closet please?" I responded sure, "Oh, that would be wonderful!" (I really don't think I have ever used the word wonderful with her before)
The other day she drew a picture of our family...
I thought it was the sweetest thing! She has started drawing really big eyes and adding noses. I LOVE Stephen's hair! After she finished drawing the picture she showed it to Kingston and asked "Do you like my picture?!" He began to cry so she responded, "No, not very much?!"
and my personal favorite, when I ask her to do something or get me something, "I will do that, sure Mommy I will!" If only this one will last throughout her life!
I can't tell you how blessed I feel to be the mother of this sweet little girl!
