Little Miss Taelee Coe...

...or should I say Cinderella, Tiana, Snow White, Jasmin, Belle, Pochahontas, Mulan, Ariel, or Aurora?! This little girl has quite the imagination, and absolutely LOVES princesses! Every day she is a new princess, depending on the color of dress or shirt she is wearing. Then, whatever princess she is that day everything else she uses (cups, plates...ect.) has to be the same color as that princess. She used to get really upset when we would call her Taelee. She would say, "No I'm not Taelee, I'm (whatever princess she was that day)." We wanted to encourage her to play pretend, but wanted her to be happy with being Taelee too. We finally got her to accept that she is Taelee pretending to be a princess. My very favorite thing that she does is "princess twals"! She will do them and then with the sweetest expression on her face say "Oh, look at me Mom! I'm turning into Ariel!" all while doing "princess twals" on her little tippy toes!
I absolutely adore this little girl! She is the light and joy of my life! I am so grateful for her sweet personality! I look forward to her sweet silly phrases every day! I wrote down a couple that I don't want to forget! I love the way she talks. She changes her tone on the last word of her questions, and makes it go higher. It makes me smile every time! She uses such polite sweet words (most of the time, I don't want to give the impression that she is an angel every second, because that would just not be true!), but for the most part she uses the best phrases...
"Thank you Mommy for getting me a blue plate like Cinderella!"
"I love being at Walmart with you Mommy!"
"I would looove to play a game!"
"Can I have some gum please?! Because I've been sooo...good?!...ok sure!"
I said lets go get dressed. She responded, "Oh, that would be beautiful!"
I tried on a dress that my sister sent to me, she looked at me and said, "Oh! That looks pretty mom!"
The other day I was in a hurry trying to get her to eat dinner before I had to feed Kingston. I totally forgot to say a prayer in all the chaos and rush. I tired to give her a carrot, and she stopped me, "No Mom, not before the prayer!" Boy did I feel sheepish!
She came to me the other day, "Mom, will you open my closet please?" I responded sure, "Oh, that would be wonderful!" (I really don't think I have ever used the word wonderful with her before)

The other day she drew a picture of our family...
I thought it was the sweetest thing! She has started drawing really big eyes and adding noses. I LOVE Stephen's hair! After she finished drawing the picture she showed it to Kingston and asked "Do you like my picture?!" He began to cry so she responded, "No, not very much?!"
and my personal favorite, when I ask her to do something or get me something, "I will do that, sure Mommy I will!" If only this one will last throughout her life!
I can't tell you how blessed I feel to be the mother of this sweet little girl!

Prophets and Apostles

Taelee loves the Prophet. We were watching Special Witnesses of Christ last Sunday and she loved learning all of the Apostles' names. Stephen was looking at the ensign with her on Saturday and she was so smart to remember them. A new favorite is President Eyring because he has glasses like Mommy. I love the way she says Uchtdorf! I can't wait for a couple more weeks when we will get to hear from these great men again!!!

*This little girl amazes me EVERY day! She makes my heart melt every time she speaks, especially when she says "thank you mommy" after I have given her something...she is such a blessing to me, I think I would be a nut case right now with out her!

Goodbye UTAH...

HELLO...

My family threw a little goodbye party tonight for us. They gave us a nice preview of Texas with pulled beef sandwiches, BBQ ribs, beans, potatoes, yummy salsa, and oh yes 104 degree weather! My entire family came out sporting awesome I heart Texas shirts. I really appreciated how supportive and fun they made this night!

I love how Taelee says Texas, it's very quiet in this video so be sure to turn the volume up!

Taelee putting her Texas on, and my brother showing her how it's done!

Taelee loved the heart on everyone's shirt!

This picture really shows just how much Taelee loves her Nana!

Taelee loved her heart shirt too, when we tried taking it off for bed she freaked out saying heart shirt so she ended up sleeping in it.

Taelee liked her hat until mean old Mom binged her with the elastic when putting it on!

I loved Taelee's face in this picture! Everyone put different things on her head and she loved it.
I love my family so much! I am so grateful for all they do for us! I couldn't ask for a better family! I know i'll see them, but not as often as i'd like...it was a tough goodbye, but we are so excited for this new adventure! Thank you!!!

MISSING...

A sweet little baby who needed her mommy 24:7, who loved to be held and cuddled.

This baby has been replaced by an adorable toddler who doesn't need her mommy every minute and is quite independent, who likes to run around, and who avoids cuddling. This little girl is the funniest sweetest little angel, but is growing up way too fast!!!!
***If you have seen any sign of my baby, or have any idea how to keep our babies small please let me know!

I did Taelee's hair straight for the first time the other day, and it made her look so big! It makes me so sad to see my baby growing up so fast. It makes me think about how small she used to be, and how I would hold her for hours and she enjoyed every minute of it. Now I savor every minute that I get to read with her because it is that time I get to hold her. She has grown into such a sweet toddler, but it sure has been hard leaving that little baby behind, and knowing that I will never have a first baby again!

The Sweetest Girl

I am fairly certain that we have the sweetest little girl! I am so grateful that I get to spend every day with her because she does so many cute things, I would be missing out if I weren't with her every second! I wish that I could have a video going of her all the time. I am so grateful for her sweet personality, she does so many things that make me laugh and more things that melt my heart! Today she was out on the porch (her favorite place) with her lamb (her favorite toy) and she was trying to show him everything she knew. She put him through the slats and would say "side" (outside), "crs" (cars) and then she lifted him up and said "sky" and "mouns" (mountains). It was so sweet, it was like she was being the little mother trying to teach him some things. In addition to her mothering abilities, I watch my friends baby Tuesdays and Thursdays and Taelee loves her! She always wants to touch her and whenever she is in her car seat she loves to rock her. Today she was so sweet with her!

Translation for the video "ni" (nice) and "hi yo" (hello) and a side note on "ni" whenever I ask Taelee if she is a nice girl or if she is being nice she pets her face and says "ni".
Could this girl get any cuter?!!? I am so grateful to be her mom!
and could someone tell me where the time goes, she is 16 months old today?!!?

Time Goes By too Fast

How did we get from here...

...to here, in such little time!?

Time scares me sometimes. It is so crazy how things change so quickly. I wish I could go back in time and experience Taelee's beginnings all over again. Stephen and I were watching old videos of Taelee last night, and it made me realize how grateful I am that I get to be with Taelee all day every day. I can't believe that she is 14 months old and walking and getting into everything! I know this is a phrase that is used a lot, but it seems like just yesterday I was holding her in my arms for the very first time. Taelee has been such a blessing to our family! She fills our home with so much love and laughter. She has had a little spunk about her since she was in my tummy, and although some days it's a bit overwhelming; she sure makes my days complete! I feel very blessed that I was given such a wonderful daughter! Even though I will miss this time frame, I look forward to new adventures with her and our family.

Taelee's First Birthday

Our little girl turned one today! We can't believe how fast that year went by! She has had a very full year of learning and growing. She has been extremely healthy and such a joy in our lives. It was so fun thinking about what we were doing last year. It makes me want to go back and experience it all again because it was such an amazing experience. Nothing compares to holding your baby in your arms for the first time. The day she was born was full of wonderful memories and emotions.

We are so blessed to have her in our lives, she brings a smile to our faces. She has such a lovable personality. She is very happy, but is also timid and is definitely more comfortable in her own home. She gets very quiet when she is around a lot of people, and has been more clingy to me lately. But once she warms up she is very active and "sociable". She does very silly things that make us laugh all the time. She hasn't started walking yet, but is definitely making her way. She is very well balanced and can stand on her own, but she is still walking like Frankenstein. We can't wait to see what the next year brings!

We had our family and friends come over for a fun little birthday party for Taelee. I am pretty upset because we had a lot more really cute pictures of Taelee and other people that came to the party, but somehow they got deleted from my camera!!! I wish I had them, but their isn't much I can do, at least I have these!!! (***Stephen really was there, but he was operating the video camera so he wasn't in many pictures, only the ones that got deleted!) Taelee wasn't very interested in unwrapping the presents, and frankly I think it was all a daze because she was so tired, but I had a lot of fun helping her unwrapping them! She received a lot of wonderful gifts, THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!!! The gifts were GREAT!

Taelee really enjoyed her Birthday Cake. We don't give her sweets so it was a very nice treat for her. She ate it like a lady and didn't get it in too many odd places. After a little bit she was done. We will see what the aftermath is tomorrow!

Our family has been extremely blessed the last couple of days. We have seen the Lords hand in our life and we are so grateful for those whom he has used to help our family. We know that the Lord hears our prayers and he will lift us when we need him. I am so grateful for my family and the joy and happiness they bring to me. I am grateful for this past year and experiences we have had and look forward to the years to come.

10 Months Old

Our baby is 10 Months old today. Their are mixed feelings about her growing up. We are so happy that she is healthy, growing, and learning; but at the same time we are sad to see the moments fly by. Stephen said the other day that he misses just being able to hold her. We definitely take our time for granted!

Since she was a week old I took pictures of her on her changing table at her month changing mark up until she was 5 months. It got more difficult as she got older so I stopped doing it, but I thought I would try and get some today. She wouldn't look at the camera because she was busy looking outside, but I thought these were pretty sweet.

Last month Taelee started to gain a great desire to learn and explore. She has learned a lot of new things here are a few...

Taelee Loves...
-Playing with her Daddy
-Being outside
-Reading books
-Stuffed animals ( Her favorites-Saddie the puppy, Mike the Monkey, and Mickey Mouse)

Taelee doesn't like...
-Car rides
-Getting dressed

Milestones...
-Pulls herself to standing
-Climbs stairs
-Eats REAL food
-Does what a fish and a lizard do
-Says Mamma, Dadda, Babba
-Almost says Bath, Eat, Out
-Tries to mimic everything you say, comes very close, and understands what you are saying
-Signs Eat, Please, More, Out, Bath, Cheese, Go
-Gives fives
-Waves Hi and Bye
-Goes to sleep by herself
-Sleeps through the night and has since she was 2-3 months old

I am so grateful to have Taelee in my life. She is such a wonderful addition to our family. She is such a happy mellow baby. Some may think that she isn't happy because she is so quiet and sober a lot of the time (a trait that she got from her parents), but she is very well behaved. I want to share some of the things I love about her. I love her long dark hair that she has had since she was born. I love the her little grin, and the way she shakes her little head and grits her teeth/gums when she is excited about something. I love her little voice when she talks, and how she signs for things she wants. I love that she learns so quickly and is so observant of new things. I love when I ask her where daddy is she looks around every where trying to find him, and lights up when she does. I love when I ask to smell her feet/pigs she lifts her little feet into the air for me to smell them and will them proceed to smell mine and bite them. I love that when I sing to her she grunts and signs more when I stop. I love the way she chews her food. I love how she crawls as fast as she can to any open door and laughs as she goes. I love when she snuggles into my shoulder and gives me kisses all over my face. I could go on and on about all the things I love about her. We are so lucky and blessed to have such a wonderful baby in our lives!!!

Gratitude

My friend Ashlee is a great photographer, she came down the other day and took some amazing pictures of Taelee. Thank you Ashlee!I am so grateful for this little one. The poor thing is sick for the first time. I took her to the doctor today to find out that she has a viral infection. Her poor little throat/tonsils are swollen, and are bright red. The doctor let me see and it almost made me cry. She is such a good little baby, she doesn't cry hardly at all and will talk and smile like she is trying to be brave. I feel so bad for her when she is burning up and limp on my shoulder. I don't know what I did to deserve her, but I am so grateful to be her mother.

Love is Never Ending

Today is one of those days that I am so grateful for my family. I love Taelee so much, she is such a great baby. This morning when Stephen got up for work at 6:30 I could hear Taelee talking in her crib. I was in and out of sleep and I woke up later, looked at my clock and found that it was 8:15! Taelee was in her crib playing (not crying at all) for almost 2 hours! I felt bad that I had slept that long, but I am amazed at what a good baby she is. She goes to sleep by her self (rocking/bouncing her doesn't work) and she has since she was 6 months old. She is such a happy baby. We went to Texas last week and she adjusted to the changes without an ounce of fussiness (even with a small cold). My love for her is Never Ending.

I am also so grateful for Stephen and everything he does for our family. He has such a positive attitude and is happy almost all the time. He always makes me laugh. He works full time and goes to school full time. He comes home exhausted and is still willing to help me. He will be starting the night shift soon so he can student teach during the day. I am not sure how he does it, but I am so grateful for him! My love for him is Never Ending.
