Taelee's 9th Birthday

N I N E !
It seems like we were just celebrating her 8th birthday, but here we are at nine! She said that she is almost a teenager...a few more years my love, a few more years. EEK! She is growing into quite the lovely beautiful girl! She has got attitude for days, but a real heart of gold. She is sensitive, sweet, silly, has lots of energy, and lots of love in her big heart, she loves to serve. She loves to read! She LOVES everything Harry Potter so it was only fitting to throw her a Harry Potter party, and me being a huge Harry Potter fan myself found it hard not to go a little overboard! I had so much fun with this, and she was absolutely thrilled!
This was the first year she had school on her birthday. What a lucky girl, it was pajama day and her class party! I made her these Harry Potter pajamas for her special day!
Our elf Charlie even got on board with the party!
Nana brought Taelee a special birthday candle...the huge flame kind of freaked her out!
Our little bookworm received such a fun gift from Nana. She got her a few classic readers and made matching outfits for Josefina. She was so excited!
all the Harry Potter gifts were a huge hit!
I was so happy with how the Harry Potter quilt turned out, and I could hardly contain my excitement. I wanted to give it to her as soon as I finished it! Everything just kind of worked even without a pattern. She was so excited!!!
Happy Birthday Beautiful Taelee!!

Taelee's Economy Job Fair

Taelee's 2nd grade class had a job fair for economy. The kids had to come up with an idea that was cheap to make, that could make a good profit, and that people would want to buy. She came up with the idea to make pinwheel pencils. I had to help her come up with the detail on how to make them, but she did most of the work. She was so proud of them when they were complete. On the day of the fair she presented her product really well. She was a great sales woman and sold every one. After they sold their products they were then able to go and shop in the other class room. We loved this school project!
Proud of her work and excited to see how they will sell.

Taelee's Baptism

Our sweet Taelee was baptized at the Denton Texas Stake Center on January 2, 2016 . We are so proud of her and her decision to be baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This Gospel means EVERYTHING to Stephen and I and we are so grateful we get to share it with our children.
This day was such a special one. Taelee was so excited the moment she woke up. She was baptized in the afternoon so we spent the morning getting ready for the dinner and cupcakes for after the baptism. She was super excited about her cupcakes and we of course had to have her favorite, tacos.
The Baptism was simply perfect. We were so happy to have family and friends there to support Taelee. Shawna Potocki (Taelee's Primary leader) and Melanie Lesue (Taelee's Primary teacher) spoke along with Brother McAdams (a member of the Bishopric). It was so sweet to watch Taelee with her friends Isabella and Ella sitting on the front row with their arms around eachother while listening to the talks. Those girls have been friends since we moved here to Texas. It meant the world to Taelee having them there. After the talks Taelee and I went to the dressing room and waited for Stephen to enter the water. I stood there as Taelee walked into the water, and my heart was filled with joy. What a sweet blessing it was to watch one of my children make this covenant and promise with the Lord.
Taelee was baptized along with Dallin Struck and Camden Altice
We were so grateful to have our amazing home teacher, Brother Stubbs along with his sweet wife there, what a special place they have in our hearts!
Seeing these two best friends support each other in everything they do just warms my heart.

Sweet friends since nursery!
Taelee was so excited to get her very own set of Scriptures. She has made sure to read them every night since her baptism. We are so proud of this girl! She is going to go far and change the world with her strong will and determination to lead, love, and serve others.
