Moab Trail Marathon

Stephen's obsession with running has definitely taken us to some fun beautiful places. We are grateful that his hobby helps our family take vacations and spend time with each other outdoors. His most recent race was in Moab. He hasn't done many trail races, but he would like to get more into them. Though it was a slower time for him, he said that it was a lot of fun, very beautiful, and he wasn't very sore afterwards.  The cheerleaders however didn't have the greatest time while waiting for him. It was rainy and muddy and cold. We forgot the kids bibs for the kids K race in the car parked a mile away. We tried racing back to get them (with the stroller in the wet sand) It took far too long and we barely missed it. The kids were bummed and I was grumpy. We tried to kill a little time by heading back to the campsite to see if we could find my phone (which I had lost the previous night, and spent hours trying to find in the dark). Thankfully it was in the office. While out we grabbed some hot chocolate, and on the third trek to the finish line Taelee started to feel sick, complaining about her ear. Although the wait wasn't the best we've had we were grateful to be there at the finish line cheering on our number 1 guy!
Camping right near town we ate out a few times. Our little non eater found the hummus to be quite delicious and ate it by the spoonful.
We had a great relaxing Sunday and were able to go to church in town. After church we went for some nice beautiful drives and small "hikes." What a beautiful place!
Whale Rock
Our little miss independent wanting to walk up the rocks like her big brother and sister.

Mesa Arch
Monday we went to Fisher Towers.
 "E" for Eden
Kingston was getting sad that we hadn't seen many lizards. I wasn't sure we would since it was chillier. On this hike, however, we were able to see a few. He then became sad because he wanted to catch one and take it home for a pet.

On our way home we stopped to see some fossil dinosaur footprints, and some petroglyphs on the side of the cliffs. Pretty amazing!
...and this girl fights sleep away from her bed like crazy! It's such a relief when she finally caves!

Disneyland 2016

Stephen surprised our family on Christmas with a trip to Disneyland for February. I can't say it enough...WE LOVE DISNEYLAND! Our flight left super early in the morning allowing us to get to our hotel, have some breakfast, and head to the park. It worked out perfectly. Little miss Eden slept most of the flight and did really well. She was a trooper throughout our stay. I was pretty worried that she would have a hard time sleeping when we were at the park, but she did great. February was a wonderful time to go! We were there mid week so during that time it wasn't too busy at all. The longest line we waited in was about 30 minutes for Storybook Village, and Toy Story Mania.
DAY ONE - DISNEYLAND:
Fist ride, Matterhorn!
One of the many many reasons why I love Disneyland...the scenery!
One of my favorite memories of the trip...during Pirates of the Caribbean sleepy Eden held on tight to Kingston's fingers and rested her head on his shoulder and nearly fell asleep.
 DAY TWO - CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE:
Waiting for the big kids to get off Screamin'
Taelee & Daddy's favorite ride.
Zip lining it, Kingston's First time.
Disney does NOT disappoint on their parades! But I think it puts our sleepy kids in a trance.
Wonderful World of COLOR
DAY THREE - PARK HOPPER DAY:
The last time we were at Disneyland I couldn't ride on Splash Mountain because little Eden was brewing in my tummy (where we announced her gender). I took full advantage of a baby free belly this time around. Love Splash Mountain!
Kingston chose to use his money to make his own light saber.
Fascinated by the spinning water ball in Tomorrow Land.
First Dole Whip was a success.
60 and Magical.
 'Till Next time...
