Taelee's First Swim Meet

We signed Taelee up for swim team this summer because she is a little fish in the water. It was a pretty early wakeup time Monday - Friday because we had to be there at 8am. Taelee has done amazing! She missed her first swim meet because we in Utah, but did a great job at practices and was able to make it to the second meet. There is something so special about watching your children succeed in something they love. She was a fingertip away from 1st place in freestyle, she is great! We are so proud of our little fish!
The fact that these pictures capture her smiling during backstroke make me so happy. She loves to swim.

PlayTri Stonebridge Half Marathon

Stephen ran his first half marathon on Saturday at Stonebridge Ranch. He has been training for a few months and he was ready to race! I love watching him race, and come across that finish line! This race was a little different because we weren't able to see him multiple times as we have with his other races. Since the course was weaved throughout Stonebridge we only saw him at the start and the finish. It filled me with anticipation not knowing his placement. I heard the people in charge saying that the first people were coming up Stonebridge and would be coming through soon. My heart started to race and I asked, "what color is he wearing, what color is he wearing?!" A lady to my right said, "red, it's my boy!" ... I was overcome with emotion as I saw green come up over the last hill, HE was in the lead! A few more yards and he crossed the finish line, HE WON THE RACE! I was so proud! He is amazing, and I am grateful to call him mine! He has big goals and I am excited to stand by him and watch as he achieves every one of them, because I know he will!
The race was in beautiful Stonebridge near/at Adriatica, and as we waited for Stephen we enjoyed the beauty...despite the cold!

This was a very tall tree and Taelee spotted this beautiful bird from far away. Good to know that her glasses work!
Enjoying some much needed hot chocolate that very cold morning!
crossing the finish line at 1:16:57
So proud of my amazing husband!
 Go Daddy Go!
So happy to have our moms there cheering him on!
My mom had just given Taelee a Doc McStuffins doctors set so Taelee was quick to check Stephen's legs and make sure they were ok. She told him he had to hop five times on each foot to help them not hurt...sweet girl!

Plano Racers 5k and 1k Junior Sprint

Stephen has started running again. He signed our family up with a running group, Plano Pacers. They do races every month and truing runs every week. Taelee has been really excited to run fast like her dad! Since he signed up the family Taelee gets in on the races too. She got to run in a 1k Junior Sprint.

Stephen is a natural runner! After only two months of running (after putting his body through the ringer with his crazy work schedule the last 9 months) he managed to win the race! He is motivated and loves to run! We are so proud of him! Taelee was especially happy to see her daddy cross that finish line! He has the best cheer leader around! We are looking forward to cheering him on when he runs his half marathon in February!
Since Stephen signed up the family Taelee gets in on the races too. She got to run in a 1k Junior Sprint. She has been really excited to run fast like her dad and has fun running with him. This was her first race, and she ran it by her self. She was so proud!
They put this sign up when the kids started running, thought it was pretty funny.
Coming across the finish line! She did great and ran the entire time! So proud of our little runner!

Gymnastics

Taelee has been dying to do gymnastics! She watched Olympics a few months back and has wanted to ever since. My friend Lisa found a girl who comes to your house for classes. It is a great price and for a beginner like Taelee it is absolutely perfect! Miss Lacey is really great! She knows her stuff and works really hard to get them to do the right technique. She works with them for an hour and after class is over she invites the moms up to see what they learned.

This was by far the most amazing part, walking up the stairs to find the girls (mainly my energetic Taelee) sitting completely still against the wall waiting for Miss Lacey to tell them what to do!!!!
Hailey, Emma, Taelee, and Isabella
Practicing the cat walk accross the beam. Taelee of course had to really play the part by licking her paws as she went along.
Perfecting the forward roll!
A joyful landing!
The ack bend...hands by your head, feet by your bottom, push your belly in the air!
Taelee loved her first lesson and can't wait to go back for more!!
