During Labor Day we took the kids camping in American Fork Canyon. It was absolutely gorgeous! The leaves were starting to change, and it was perfect weather. We had a perfect secluded campsite with tons of trees. We got to the campsite and started setting up camp, where we discovered that Stephen forgot the tent. The kids were really excited about getting to sleep outside under the stars. Mom and Eden, however; slept in the van. Taelee slept in the hammock, and Dad and Kingston slept on the ground. It actually ended up raining that night, but surprisingly they stayed dry because they were in a nice little grove of trees.
Eden was in absolute heaven exploring and getting messy.
Our 5 mile hike up to Stewart Falls was BEAUTIFUL and the weather was perfect!!!
What a tough way to hike!
The kids did great on the hike! It was towards the end on the way back that the fatigue set in. We made it with the thought of a slushy from Sonic when we were done.
