A Winter Hike

The great thing about Texas is being able to be outside many months of the year. Stephen took a few days off this week so we went on a hike walk on a great trail a few minutes from our house. The kids LOVE being outside and were both in heaven! Taelee was convinced that we were going to the Texas mountains! She came prepared with a backpack filled with snacks she filled herself.

She found some "dear antlers" that were going to protect her from the other animals!
Kingston is learning to pose from the best!

The kids have never played in leaves and there were plenty of them there.
They threw them up and didn't want to stop!
Along the trail we found a small but steep hill. The kids thought they were so big being able to walk up and run down. Taelee gets so much joy when she accomplishes big things!
Taelee even got a shot with the camera and took some great pictures!
Stephen found a hollow stump, pretty neat, but Kingston didn't think so!
I want to nibble on those cheeks!

Yes - same place! We love it there. It's as close to hiking as we can get. :) The girls couldn't resist throwing the leaves up either. I love that Taelee packed a bag - your kids kill me with their cuteness. Ava keeps asking for a little brother named Kingst. haha...
