Taelee turing 8 was a pretty special birthday! I wanted to make sure it was one that she would always remember, so what would be better than spending it with your best friend at the American Girl Store! We had a little party at the Bistro. They provided the girls with a goodie bag with a shirt, a crown, a balloon, cup and plate, and a little book for their dolls. The food delicious! They also gave her the cutest little cake! Everything was perfect! Taelee had been given some gift cards from family and she was looking forward to shopping. Unfortunately EVERYTHING (literally) that Taelee had wanted was sold out. Taelee put on a great front and had the best attitude about choosing something different. She said it was the best day! She loved spending the day with her BFF.
When we got home, and as she was getting ready for bed she broke down. She was sad that they didn't have anything that she really wanted and she felt like she just waisted all her money. Luckily it was short lived and she realized that everything she got was pretty great too. Santa brought her a pretty great surprise a few days later on Christmas! He made some magic happen and somehow found her the food cart that was out of stock even online!
