We had a wonderful white Christmas! It isn't very often that Texas gets snow, let a lone snow on Christmas, but my wish came true! It was a perfect Christmas spent at home with family! After the kids woke up we met in Taelee's room for eggnog and the Christmas story. After we read in Luke we watched one of the beautiful church videos about Christmas. After that we headed out.
Taelee asked for the Tinkerbell and Periwinkle dolls that light up and Santa answered the call. He also brought Bun Bun a new outfit and high heals. She was so excited! She doesn't hesitate with her "Thank yous". She always shouts "thank you!" up to the sky when the person isn't there. Lots of people got "thank you"air loves Christmas morning!
Kingston wears his cowboy hat- aka "howdy partner" ALL the time so Santa brought him a stick horse. He was in love and called him "Thunder." We called him Thunder because that night it was thundering like crazy. He woke up screaming. When I went in to get him he was shaking like crazy! "tunder too loud! tunder too loud! Poor little guy was so scared!
The kids were overjoyed as they opened their gifts. It is hard being away from Nana and Gonka and having to open the presents without them there. The kids were so grateful and sent many air loves!
We got them a trampoline for their main gift. It is the perfect size! We assembled it in our garage Christmas Eve and carried it over our heads, over the fence, to the backyard. Little did we know that it was going to poor rain and eventually snow on Christmas! I made a little poem and wrapped a little map that they had to follow to find their present. "One last gift before you're through, follow the map to see where to." They were so excited! It was a bummer they couldn't jump on it though. We waited until Steve's brothers could help move it back to the garage. By the time they got to our house it was covered in snow! They had to wait until the snow melted so they didn't get to jump until 7 that night! It didn't make a difference to them...they were in heaven and could have jumped all night!
Nana and Gonka got Kingston this awesome work bench! All the tools are wood and so cute! He was in heaven!! They have been playing with it ever since!
Every child's dream (and mine too!)...snow on Christmas!!!
Before dinner the kids got all bundled up and played outside in the snow. Taelee has been wishing for snow and was so thrilled to get to play in it on Christmas. It was Kingston's first time and he was sold! They both loved every minute! It was really cold and windy so they didn't stay out too long.
Our little eskimo!
Throwing snowballs at me through the glass!
What a perfect day!
