Stephen joined a running group, the Plano Pacers, a couple months ago. They do races every month, and all the family is included. He won the 5k a few months back. This morning he ran a 10k and did great! It was a pretty cold, damp, and misty morning, but we had a great time! He sets goals for himself every race and always seems to beat them. His goal was to get under 37:00 and he ran 35:31. He was born a runner and does an amazing job! We love to watch him and see him get faster each and every time. His next race is a half marathon February 16th. As Taelee says, "Go Daddy Go!!!"
The best part of the race is running around the lake! It is beautiful!
As we waited for Dad to finish, we ran around the park warming up for the kids race! Taelee was so excited for her race! She loves running like her dad! Their race is a little over a half a mile around the lake. Kingston even ran this time-of course with his tongue out! Taelee did about 2 minutes better than her last time and we were so proud! It is so special to see her independently run the race and come through the finish line grinning ear to ear with pride that she did it! Running is THE best family activity! So grateful for our healthy bodies and the abilities God has given us.
Grandma came to watch, and the kids were thrilled to have her there cheering them on!
By the end, this little guy was exhausted!

Good job to the Vrska family!! I love that you do it as a family! Isabella would join me in a heartbeat...the boys, not so much. Haha! I love Kingston's running face-SO CUTE!! Steven is the running kind, I'm sure he'll do awesome on his half marathon too. :)

That is so cute to see the kids running. Next time Steve runs will you ask him "Who wears short shorts?" for me.
