We made our drive to Utah for Grandpa King's funeral. It was a great drive. The kids did an awesome job in the car. Eden had a few moments, but for the most part she did really well. We took a different route so we could go to Mesa Verde. Taelee was so excited because we were able to pass through Santa Fe, where her American Girl, Josefina is from. We had to stop and get a picture, since I am sure we will never go back there again. As we were driving a field lined with rows and rows of headstones stopped us in our tracks. It was Santa Fe Veterans Memorial, breathtaking! Such a neat experience. We also saw lots of wildlife along the way. An eagle feeding her babies in it's nest, a mamma elk and her two babies wading in a pond, a bunch of lizards, and a ewe with her baby along the side of the mountain.
Breathtaking views as we got to the top of the mountain of Mesa Verde.
