Mesa Verde National Park

On our way to Utah we made a detour and stopped at Mesa Verde National Park. We stayed the night at a "hotel" on top of the mountain, and headed to the park after breakfast. It was gorgeous! The cliff dwellings were amazing! We couldn't believe that the people actually built these structures and lived here for years. In order to get to the dwelling we had to climb a 30ft ladder. Taelee was terrified, but we finally convinced her (knowing that we were going to be right behind her helped). Eden was sleeping in the Solly wrap, and after cradle climbing Kingston my legs were like jello from nerves once we got to the top! I couldn't imagine being one of the women climbing the cliffs with a baby strapped to her back. Once we were done with the tour they said that climbing the ladder was their favorite part. The history of these dwellings was amazing, and we were so grateful we got to go.
Taelee snapped these pictures along the trail.
I was terrified, but tried not showing that to the kids.
During the way out Eden was awake. She tried grabbing kingston's feet and the ladder rungs!
Don't tell, but Eden hung out with me in the front for a while as we were driving around the park!
