We went a lot of fun places on our trip, but I have to say that the time we spent in Mike and Robin's backyard was the best! They have a big, dreamy yard with green, lush grass, a playhouse, patio, fenced in garden, and a fire pit. Can you tell I have backyard envy!? The kids were in their element - happy as could be running around and exploring.
This little boy was thrilled when Tim found a little gardener snake near their garden. He is all boy and was in heaven carrying him around!
Those who know Taelee, know that she has a very real imagination. She makes "make believe" come to life full force. She believes in magic, fairy tales, love, and most of all fairies! She loves fairies with all her heart and knows that they are real. She is constantly making fairy houses, fairy accessories, and fairy treasures. She has a beautiful book of fairy poems her Nana gave her and reads it every night before bed. She is our little genius and has just about every one memorized. While we were at Mike and Robin's she took full advantage of their beautiful backyard and with the help of her cousin Tyler made a fairy house. Well, poor Taelee's faith was tested when all her other cousins got there because they were doubting her left and right. They kept telling her fairies weren't real and wanting proof. They even told her to come inside to check on the internet for real pictures of fairies. They were determined to extinguish her belief in fairies and she was determined to kindle theirs. She showed them the book multiple times and read them the poems many times. However, she was highly outnumbered by non believing boys. But she didn't let that get her down! When she came back outside she was surprised to find a fairy had left fairy kisses on one of the rocks! That got all the kids interested and questioning things even more! She was thrilled and that's all that matters!
Fairy Kisses
priceless! She felt so special explaining the art of fairies with everyone.
While they were checking out the magic she started reciting her fairy poems.
I spy with my little eye something small that croaks.
Brycen found Taelee a frog for her fairy house and Taelee was so excited! I love frogs! He was adorable and so tiny!
Kingston is such a hard worker, especially when it comes to helping his dad outside. He got right on board when they started collecting firewood and digging.
Get the Vrska boys together and they are bound to find a project and work hard together. These are some of the hardest workers I know! They decided to help Mike dig his hole for their basketball hoop. Little did they know that they would encounter a 4 foot deep, 18 inch wide piece of concrete. After hours and hours of digging, pulling, pushing, towing, and sweat they were finally defeated and called it a night at midnight. The next day they rented a jackhammer and broke their backs and limbs getting the huge boulder out.
